Mark Roosevelt was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mark served his country as a United States Marine for 4 years and was stationed in Camp Pendleton, California, Yokosuka Japan and Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. After the Marines, Mark returned to Minnesota and attended Metropolitan State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services. Mark later graduated from the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, MN) where he earned a Masters degree in Public Safety Leadership. While in college, Mark also served in the United States Army Reserve. Mark had a 20 plus year career in the corporate security industry where he was a supervisor and manager. Mark moved to Tucson in April of 2011 with his wife, The late Allison Roosevelt. Immediately Mark fell in love with the desert climate and of course, the food. Mark made the decision to become a candidate for Pima County Constable after reading about the disorganization in that office. Many Constables had resigned or had failed to do their jobs and that is unfair to the taxpayers of Pima County. Mark decided to put his experience in Public Safety and his 20 years as a Real Estate professional to work to restore the office to one that the people of Pima County could rely on to be a professional organization. If elected, Mark will work diligently to ensure that the Constables office is one that is professional and reliable. Mark pledges that as your Constable he will “hit the ground running” on day one. Mark also pledges that he will be conscious of his constituents and the difficult situations that they may face with respect and compassion. In his spare time, Mark enjoys getting out and exploring our great city and state as well as hitting the beach in Mexico.
